Since its launch Fiat 500 has been a tremendous success for Abarth. They have made many special editions of the car and now, for the 51st Sanremo rally in Italy, they are introducing their rally version of the car. Called the Abarth 500 R3t, this little beast will compete in 1600cc Turbocharged category.
The 500 R3T is equipped with a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine with a Garrett GT1446a fixed geometry turbocharger which turns out 180 hp and 300 nm of torque. It is fitted with a six-speed sequential gearbox and a multiplate self-locking differential.
Considering its mission, the 500 R3T gets racing suspension and a high performance Brembo braking package consisting of ventilated discs and racing brake pads. It also has a rally style active hydraulic handbrake and brakeforce distributor, and 17-inch O.Z racing wheels with asphalt rally tires. Due to the regulations, the car with all its equipments weighs 1080 kg.
