The lovely Lotus Exige has been around for a while in more or less the same shape, but every year the Norfolk company tweak it a bit and make a little bit more delicious so it can soldier on for… who knows how long! The 2010 Exige S240 model has just been introduced making its way to the north American market this fall starting at $65,690.
The S240 2010 model comes with a new front fascia with a larger, more angular air intake to help funnel more air through the radiator to improve the efficiency of the engine, two air ducts on each side of it for feeding the oil coolers, and an air splitter which improves the aerodynamics of the Exige for the sake of even better than before handling. The car is fitted with a bigger rear wing derived from the Exige GT3 concept.
Exige S240 is still powered by a Toyota four-cylinder engine which is tuned and optimized by Lotus engineers. This supercharged 1.8-liter gives 240 hp which considering the car’s light weight means 133 hp per liter, or to put it more simply, 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds and top speed of 150 mph!
