To celebrate 25 glorious years of M5, BMW has released a one-off CSL edition of the car based on the current E60 V10 model. Like other CSL models, the M5 is tarted up for more power and stripped down for less weight, so it’s become the ultimate version of the ultimate super sedan by the ultimate driving machine! It’s a pity though they are not going to it into production, even in limited numbers.
The V10 engine if the M5 has been reworked for the CSL model and its capacity has been taken up to 5.5 liter. Although no official details are out yet, but the word is that the M5 CSL has 580 hp.
The car is also considerably lighter since some of the body parts are replaced with carbon fiber ones and the interior is also literally destroyed! There are no back seats in this model and the front ones are replaced with carbon fiber buckets. Well, they are not going to make it after all.
Apparently the car is revealed at the Nurburgring and got busy setting a lap record immediately, so stay tuned and we will bring to you more details on this as soon as we got them.
