2011 BMW Alpina B7 U.S. Pricing

BMW recently announced that they will ring back the Alpina brand to the North American market with the new B7 Bi-turbo, and that obviously made Americans quite happy. And why wouldn’t be happy because this 7er is powered by a twin-turbo V8 developing 500 hp and it does zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. And best of all it comes with an Alpina badge!

Now though they might feel a bit disappointed as BMW announce the car’s official pricing! The MSRP is quite reasonable at $122,875 for the standard wheelbase and $126,775 for the long version plus $875 destination charge, but as you know by the time it reaches the showroom floor it gets bumped up.

So the more realistic price would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $150,000. And in that range, you have other very fine choices like Mercedes S63 AMG or Porsche Panamera. Of course if you want an Alpina 7er, there’s no replacement for it!
