The first official pictures of the all-new 2011 Mercedes R-Class leaked on the Internet revealing the car’s fresh face. Mercedes has been working on this model for a long time and as it turns out it was all worth it! The new R-Class comes with a whole new front-end which looks a bit like ht GLK crossover.

It also gets new bumpers and a bolder grille and can be had with daylight running LED lights. There’s also new side mirrors and moldings. The rear has changed too but it’s not as dramatic as the front and might not be noticeable at first glance.

We have to wait for the car’s official details to be sure, but it seems that it’s become larger, offering more room for the passengers and also more luggage space. As usual this new Mercedes will be available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. There will be BlueEfficiency models for sure, but it’s not clear yet if they are going to make an AMG version of it like they did the old gen.

2011 Mercedes R-Class might appear at the upcoming New York Auto Show. Official details should be released in a couple of days.
