If you are going to buy a new Mercedes M-Class, wait a little longer until this arrives. Mercedes is now offering their high-end Grand Edition equipment package for all of the M-Class models (except the ML63) as well. This treatment has a 40 percent price advantage compared to ordering the features individually, and features visual tweaks as well as upgraded equipments.

On the outside the M-Class Grand Edition comes with 19-inch light-alloy wheels in a Y-spoke design with tyre size 255/50 R19, blue-tinted thermal insulation glass all-round, dark-tinted headlamps and LED technology for the daytime driving lights and sporty, darkened tail lights, aluminium roof rails, extensive chrome package, AMG radiator grille and underguards at the front and rear.

As options, you can order paint finish in chromite black or diamond white, 20-inch bicolor light-alloy wheels with 265/45 R20 tyres, and V8 bonnet for V6 models!

But the Grand Edition is mostly about the interior, where you get high-grade poplar wood trim and a black roof lining, exclusive hard-wearing, breathable and pleasant-feeling ARTICO man-made leather upholstery with contrasting seams and raised piping, 3D-look  ARTICO dashboard, leather lining for door panels, plus AMG sports steering wheel in leather with shift paddles, sports pedals of brushed stainless steel with rubber studs and stainless steel door entry panels.

And as a sign of its exclusivity, the car comes with a Grand Edition emblem on the centre console.
