Mercedes revealed official European pricing for the new generation CLS-Class powered by four and six-cylinder engines, as they will arrive at dealerships form January 2011. The V8 models sales commence in April 2011. The new Mercedes CLS is a very desirable car, but I’m afraid it’s also quite pricey. It starts at €59,857 for the new CLS 250 CDI four-cylinder diesel model, which has only 204 hp.
Apart from that, there’s two six-cylinder engines available as well including CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY developing 195 kW(265 hp) and the CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY developing 225 kW (306 hp) and including the ECO start/stop function as standard. The CLS 500 BlueEFFICIENCY with a V8 engine and developing 300 kW (408 hp) is yet to get its price tag.
For the first year after the market launch Mercedes also offers a limited “Edition 1” package which is priced at €6,664 and includes matt exterior paintwork in manganite grey SHAPE, shimmering metallic leather upholstery designo corteccia pearl, floormats with “Edition 1” lettering, black designo roof liner and aluminium pedals.
