Top Gear Magazine has been given an exclusive tour of the new SSC Ultimate Aero II which is set to beat Bugatti Veyron SuperSport and become the new world’s fastest production car. And some people were kind enough to scan this report and send the picture on the Internet for you to see! The first Aero was never a real match for the Veyron, becasue it was too ugly. The new one though, seems to have all the bases covered.
Not only it looks astonishing, in a jet fighter sort of way, it’s been carefully engineered for the mission. Going faster than 286 mph is one helluva challenge, so the Aero II will have 1350 hp, still from that twin-turbo V8, which is 150 more than the Veyron SS. Theoretically, this car is able to do 274 mph or 442 km/h. But we have to wait for the official record, which is the average of top speed of the car in both directions.
If I was the Bugatti Veyron SS, I’d be pretty worried by now! This American looks very serious about its job and now that it also has the looks, it can beat the mighty Veyron in matters other than top speed as well. The only criteria where the Veyron might have the edge is reliability and overall quality, becasue well that uses German engineering, and this one doesn’t!
And if you are asking about the price, it’ll be in the neighborhood of $1 million USD, which sounds like a bargain comparing to the Veyron SS.
Michael,..i adore you..you are a walking car dictionary A.K.A walking Library of cars and all. Save your knowledge somewhere else where it is desperately needed. The SSC Aero II has a V8 a multiplex Hemi engine with twin jet centrifuge radium isotope combustor that is made by the sincere and indigeneous umkaka cherokee indians from the plains of nevada. Approximately 35 indians with 533 hours of manpower is needed to synthesize the steel and aluminum for the cylinder and blocks via a steel rapid prototyping machine that was idealized by the encryptions from the sumer tablets of ancient mesopotamia. The valves of the single cylinder shutdown gearbox are made from the beaks of the exotic and rare albino Peregrine Falcon from the Alps and Southern Iraq bonded together with mercury carbide resin that is obtained from the derivations from the anal cavity of the civet cats of Sumatera. The Quad Pulse Detonator Turbos were fashioned from a single block of titanium alloy, a technology borrowed from NASA and can only be produced in the Hindu Kush mountains of greater Afghanistan due to the higher atmospheric volume of the air and can only be operated by the nimble hands of the mbembe tribes, the same people who arranged the transistors for the Intel Hyperthread Microchips. Michael: for one the “Worlds fastest car” is also titled “The worlds fastest PRODUCTION car” which means it has everything it had from the factory and nothing it didnt, duh. The Aero II has a full carbon fiber monocoque chassis idiot. I just saw this car in person tonight and let me tell you it is sexy sexy sexy.
Michael, you’re an idiot…..the bugatti veyron ss weighs 4052 lbs……the aero ss weighs 2850 lbs…..common sense buddy
Well Micheal, I’m going to assume what you typed was English. It is quite normal for fanboys to not know anything about what they are trying to talk down, its less common for them to know nothing about their own camp. The Veyron has a W16 not a V16, and the original SSC body, ugly though it may be, is completely carbon fiber. Not to mention the original Veyron was NOT all carbon fiber, it was mostly aluminium. with certain carbon fiber panels.
don’t dream too much buddy. As u see, bugatti veyron has a fully carbon fibre bodykits…….. what about the an ssc ultimate aero II bodykits, there are no carbon fibre bodykits and has a fully solid bodykits………….. common sense buddy, solid bodykits heavier than carbon fibre…………. furthermore, if bugatti veyron lose thin time around, they surely can get the tittle “world fastest production car in the world” back…………… ssc ultimate aero has V8 engines only compare to bugatti veyron has a V16 engines…………. they can upgrade well…………… hahahahahahahahaha
