Not sure how drunk Brabus managers were when they decided to work on the Hyundai i20, but they did and the result is this i20 you see here. They however did not put their badge on it, probably becasue they have too much dignity, and also they didn’t bother tuning the engine, becasue what’s the point! So the package only includes visual upgrades and a new interior.
On the outside you get a discrete and elegant body kit which you can’t even notice is there, consisting of new front and rear apron, spoiler and wings, smoked lights, and also LED daytime running lights and 17-inch wheels finished in two-tone black/silver.
Inside the cabin the modifications are much more visible, mainly because of that color combination. You get a mix of black and orange leather all over the cabin, not just for seats and livers, but also on the doors and dashboard. It also comes with a 7-inch in-dash display, and illuminated door sills, which are cool with Brabus logo in them, but this car’s sills say Hyundai, so…!
what a joke… first bashing on a brand recognized world wide as having surpassed many of the front runners in their categories and fast gaining popularity and then bashing on a reader… says a LOT about the quality of the site, huh?
and you wonder why motorward isnt taken seriously amongst enthusiasts on the web…
Humor is fine up to a certain level, and I know that since I am a journalist.
If you find a Korean hatchback so uninteresting, then why cover it in the first place? Leave it and move on to more interesting cars, right?
And the fact that someone like Brabus actually got down to doing something with the i20 means that is not very ‘uninteresting’, and makes your article look quite foolish. Why did Brabus not play around with some other ‘interesting’ hatchback may be something of a puzzle for arrogant people like yourself.
Stop trying to ape Top Gear by bringing unnecessary humor into reporting the facts and news. Leave your variety of humor for some feature story or a comparison of this uninteresting Korean Hatchback with an interesting German Hatchback (Not that I can think of any- German cars are usually made for German cement salesman).
Alrighty Mr.Vishal, I need you to dial it down and listen mate!
Dunno about you and your inspirations, but we like some humor in our articles so we won’t bore our readers by just telling them about an uninteresting Korean hatchback! Otherwise we’d just copy paste the press release. It’s not demeaning.
There’s no denying Hyundais are good cars, you can refer to our other articles about them, but here we’re talking about the badges, and Hyundai is not a cool badge. Well, down in Mumbai yeah, but anywhere else nooooo!
Anyway, you probably have no concept of that either!
Thanks for your comment.
Hey writer, What do you mean by “They however did not put their badge on it, probably becasue they have too much dignity”? How can you say something so demeaning- there are millions of HYUNDAI owners out there. And the fact there are a million Hyundai owners out there means the HYUNDAI CARS ARE GOOD.
Who made u the Chief Editor? Well, that says a lot about ur website class (or the lack of it).
And as for Brabus having “dignity”, don’t forget that they actually worked on the car. So don’t act all high and mighty, allrite? Brabus guys are actually humans, unlike you who thinks any car less than an Audi R8 is useless. But then again, you are better off taking the train to work, while pretending that the Rolls standing in the parking downstairs is yours.
I very well know how u car journos beg with car manufacturers to get a car for sometime, and then when u miraculously do, you drive around in it as if you own it.
Realize reality- get a life. And stop bitching about other people’s cars.
