The Ford Fiesta rally package is currently available in Europe for enthusiasts who want to turn theri innocent hatchback into a rally monster. Now that the Americans, mostly thanks to Ken Block, are getting to like rallying, Ford is also offering this package in the US as the Fiesta R2 rally package.

This package which is developed by Ford’s official rally partner M-Sport, includes a range of upgrades chief among which is the powertrain. They offer high performance engine parts including pistons, conrods, camshafts, valve springs, injectors, airbox, air filter and a sump baffle kit, so the the 1.6 liter Ti-VCT four-cylinder now generates 168 horsepower and 134 lb.-ft. of torque, 40 percent more than the production Fiesta.

Other upgrades include:

* Five-speed Sadev sequential gearbox with flat shift gear cut
* Reiger adjustable dampers with Eibach springs
* Ventilated disc brakes with AP four-piston competition calipers
* T45 steel multipoint roll cage

Now if that is too professional for you and you need something lighter, then you should go for the R1 package which includes a roll cage, ball joints, engine performance upgrades, dampers and a limited-slip differential. The package will offer competitors a lower-cost entry point to take a Fiesta rallying.
