Audi Green Policy at Audi Invests Massively In Green Cars

When a company is prepared to blow up nearly 10 Billion Euros on developing electric and hybrid cars, it’s clear they want to become the leader in this field which is to all intents and purposes the future of automotive. From 2011 Audi will be investing that money in green cars which will start by marketing the e-tron range including the R8 and the A1 electric.

So a big chunk of Audi’s 11.6 Billion Euro budget for their four-year development plan until 2015 goes to the electric and hybrid vehicles, and creates 1,200 new jobs in Germany as well, most of them for experts inelectro-mobility and lightweight construction fields. The rest will be used to accomplish the goal of selling 1.5 million cars per year.

So, expect a convoy of new electric and hybrid cars from Audi in the coming years!
