So the Turbo version of the Caddy SRX has been around for nearly a year, and now it’s killed off becasue of poor sales. General Motors has removed the SRX Turbo from the order guides, and the remaining vehicles in dealers inventory are the last units people can go and buy, not that they will of course!
The main reason, probably, why the SRX turbo turned out to be a failure is its hefty price tag of more than $50,000. For that you get a 300 hp, 2.8 liter V6 engine. That sounds very unreasonable when you realize that for $34,705 you can get the base SRX equipped with a 3.0 liter which at 265 hp is a bit less powerful but considerably more economical. It’s obvious no one would pay an extra 16 grand for 35 hp and worse fuel consumption!
Looks like somebody in the marketing department is getting fired!
You are not comparing the same model SRX since the turbo is only available in the premium model.
