Lamborghini LP700-4 Teaser

Lamborghini lp700 at Lamborghini LP700 4 Teaser

This teaser shot is a sign that finally Lamborghini is starting to reveal their new supercar, LP700-4 Aventador, which replaces the Murcielago. It is still fully camo’d, but you can clearly see the lines of the body and realize that it’s inspired, heavily, by the Reventon.

The headlights specially seem to virtually identical to the Reventon’s. The same can be said about the car’s massive front air intakes and pointy spoiler lip. Although the rear-end is not revealed here, but as seen in the recent spyshots it gets the same central tailpipe and insane hood as the limited edition.

The side view however is less dramatic and appears to be copied form the Gallardo! It still has those fold-away air intakes on the top of the engine bay, but the rocker panel intakes are omitted. The side windows also look way too big for the car, but it means you will have more room inside the car and you will be able to see out more comfortably. One thing we have not heard about yet is the doors. Will they be normal doors like the Gallardo or will Lamborghini retain its signature scissor doors?

We will find out soon as the car is set for debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

As for the technicalities, it gets a new 60 degree 6.5 liter V12 engine with 700 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque, mated to a new E-Gear single-clutch gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels. It also has racing-grade pushrod suspension and sophisticated electronic controlling system for perfect handling.
