The guys at Mboard.com were amongst the journalist invited to BMW M GmbH secret garage where they keep a sample of all their production models as well as all the one-offs and concept cars. They are all very fascinating, but the most awesome car of them all should be this M8 prototype that never made it into production. It is the M version of the old 850i powered by a bespoke 5.6 liter V12 engine. For whatever reason, BMW officials decided not to make this magnificent car at that time and it was consigned to the pages of history books. That engine though lived and a 627-hp version of it powered the legendary McLaren F1. Very Special car this.
