Superchips MINI Cooper S R56 at Superchips Tweaks MINI Cooper S

Superchips, a British company specializing in automotive electronic tuning, has come up with a new ECU kit for the MINI Cooper S.

The ECU remap for ‘phase 2’ versions of the R56 MINI Cooper S turbo powered by the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine will add an extra 25 bhp and 32 Nm of torque to the output, which means it gets over 200 bhp. The advantages of the extra power include easier overtaking, a crisper, more exciting drive and sharper performance. Superchips says that if you drive it responsibly the 48 mpg fuel economy of the car will remain unchanged.

The kit is priced at £455.00, including VAT and is suitable for all ‘Phase two’ 181 bhp R56 MINI Cooper S models produced from March 2010 onwards.
