As it’s the case with special edition BMW M3s, the America-only Frozen Black sold out withing minutes after the phones lines opened to take order.
This one set a record of 22 minutes to sell 20 units. That’s astonishing, considering its price tag of $79,650 (excluding $875 Destination & Handling and excluding $1,300 federal gas guzzler tax), and given the fact that it sounds like a rip-off!
BMW charges you 20 grand over the standard M3 and in return gives you some fancy black paint, some extra leather and a couple of badges. And to be honest you are just paying for those special edition badges. It is a classy car though, regardless of the fact that it’s no faster than the standard M3.
