2014 Mercedes MLC Coupe Crossover – Report

Mercedes Benz M Class at 2014 Mercedes MLC Coupe Crossover Report

Apparently Mercedes is finally going after BMW X6 with a new coupe crossover based on the new M Class, allegedly called the MLC.

Mercedes has waited long enough and the X6 has been successful enough to convince almost all car makers to join this popular class. What’s more, the new Range Rover Evoque which turned to be an instant hit, and emerging details on the new Porsche Cajun, which is set to be a coupe-like crossover as well, all add fuel to the fire in this segment.

While the 2014 Mercedes MLC will be based on the M-Class underpinnings, its looks will be more inspired by the CLS. Mercedes is totally ready to sacrifice practicality and space for the sake of those cool looks that attract BMW X6 buyers.

As for the technicalities, sources suggest it will get the regular range of fuel efficient engines, including diesels, with a range topping AMG version with 544 hp. The prices for the MLC will start at around 60,000 euros.
