The Americans have waited long enough for the Audi TT RS. And now for the privilege of driving one they have to pay $56,850.
And be aware that’s the base MSRP excluding destination charges, taxes, title, options and dealer charges. Realistically then, were talking about a 60 grand car here. That’s a lot of money for a tiny car that can’t even accommodate your golf clubs.
But then it’s not meant to. The TT RS is a high performance European sportscar powered by a 2.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder TFSI direct-injection engine developing 360 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque. It does 0 to 600 mph in 4.1 seconds and can each a top speed of 174 mph. Audi magnetic ride is standard on the TT RS, with settings that make the ride very uncomfortable and hard, but in return enhance the handling. And it also features Quattro AWD system.
It’ a helluva car then, and it’s very well equipped too. The Audi TT RS offers electronic features one expects from Audi, including Audi concert radio with single CD player and MP3 reading capability, and AM / FM / SAT radio with a complimentary 3-month subscription to SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. Available advanced electronics offer an increased level of sophistication for the premium sports car, including technologies like Audi navigation plus with real time traffic, MMI® inspired controls, a BOSE® sound system, and Audi music interface.
At 60 grand, it’s a bargain!
