Mercedes finally dropped official details and pictures of the new C63 AMG Black Series. And it’s the real deal, a true Black Op!

If we liken Mercedes range of cars to an army, then Black Series models are like an elite unit, developed for special operations. It’s like SAS or Delta Force. Deadly, accurate, fast and unforgiving!

The Black Series recipe has remaind pretty much intact for this car. It includes massively flared arches, carbon fiber aero kit and mirrors, vented bonnet, a big rear diffuser and a new design front bumper, very similar to that of the SL65 Black Series. It also gets an adjustable carbon-fibre rear aerofoil.

The interior is also business as usual. The layout is the same as the rest of new C Coupe range, but you get one-piece carbon fiber seats which are widely famous for being fantastically uncomfortable! Add to that the hard-core suspension which results in a bone-shaking ride and low profile tyres, and you quickly find out it’s not a comfi car, even though it’s got most of the amenities a normal Mercedes comes with.

The engine is still the 6.2 liter normally aspirated V8 as the CLK63 and C63, and makes 380 kW (517 hp) and a maximum torque of 620 newton metres. That enables the car to make 62mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds. It has an estimated duel consumption of 12.2 l/100 km (average) and emits 286 g/km of CO2.

Mercedes C63 Black comes with 19-inch wheels and 255/35 R 19 and 285/30 R 19 tires, and is fitted with AMG high-performance compound braking system. In terms of handling and driveability, the car gets standard-specification AMG rear axle differential, wide rear track, and 3-stage ESP. If the old Black Series Mercs are any indications, this new car too will be extremely tail happy and fun to drive.

AS mentioned the car comes with basic equipments such as sat nav, air con and other features, but there are some optional extras exclusively available for this car:

• AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre package (cross strut in front apron, exterior mirror housing, inserts on the side sill panel, diffuser insert and spoiler lip in genuine carbon fibre)
• AMG light-alloy wheels featuring forging technology, painted in matt black with a high-sheen finish on the rim flange, with 255/35 R 19 and 285/30 R 19 tyres
• AMG carbon-fibre trim
• Fire extinguisher
• Intelligent Light System ILS
• KEYLESS-GO
• Tinted side/rear windows

The price of this new Black Series Mercedes is about 116,000 euro.
