McLaren’s race car MP4-12c GT3 will be put through its pace this weekend at Total 24 Hours of Spa Francorchamps.
The car might not be a perfect supercar, what with its lack of emotion and drama, but it’s sure an perfect race car with impeccable engineering. They have endlessly tested and tweaked the car for maximum performance and reliability in 24 hour events.
They will be competing with three cars and ten drivers at the race. This is the MP4’s second ever race, following its debut at British GT championship. The McLaren GT driver line-up for the Total 24 Hours of Spa includes CRS Racing Team Principal Andrew Kirkaldy and McLaren Automotive Chief Test driver Chris Goodwin. Both are Directors of the new McLaren GT company, which is led by McLaren Group CEO Martin Whitmarsh and includes McLaren Racing Head of Vehicle Engineering Mark Williams.
