Toyota and Lexus At EcoVelocity Show

EcoVelocity at Toyota and Lexus At EcoVelocity Show

Lately the Brits had too much fun with events like Goodwood festival Speed or Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. Now it’s times for the EcoVelocity show to balance things out!

As the leaders of green car makers, Toyota and Lexus announced extensive plans for the show, which will take place at Battersea Power Station in London in September. They will be showcasing their current and future low emissions full hybrid technology, and allow the visitors to try out their hybrid cars, the Prius and Auris Hybrid hatchback.

The new Prius Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) will also be on display, the car that can run further and at higher speeds than a conventional hybrid on its electric motor alone, which means zero petrol consumption and tailpipe emissions. This range extender is Toyota’s rival for Chevy Volt.

Toyota will also be showing its all-new Yaris – just one week after its official sales launch – and its revolutionary iQ.

Lexus too will be quite active at the show, with the CT 200h, the world’s first full hybrid premium compact hatchback, and the RX 450h full hybrid luxury crossover. Lexus Hybrid Drive system delivers sub 100g/km CO2 emissions and 68.9mpg combined cycle fuel consumption. At the same time it boasts all the comfort, quality and technical sophistication customers expect of a Lexus.
