Volvo will wrap up celebrating P1800 50th anniversary celebrations at James Classic Motor Show in Birmingham with this, an Aston Martin-Powered model.

This unique 1961 Volvo P1800 has an original 2.5 litre DOHC four-cylinder Aston Martin prototype engine which was fitted to the car at the Aston factory for test purposes. After the test they didn’t bother taking the engine out, so the remained intact to date and is now owned by a Swiss guy.

Also at the show there will be a massive collection of Volvo coupes and an special appearance by P958-X1 prototype, together with its designer and creator, Pelle Petterson. The other cars at the stand will be ST1 – the white 1800 of a certain “Saint”, a very nice original one-owner Jensen-built P1800 and a serious-looking 1800S in rally guise.
