All the rumors about a smaller version of BMW X6 turn out to be true as company’s CEO confirms its production for an undisclosed date.

This car called the X4 will be the Active Sport Utility version of the upcoming BMW 4-Series, which also includes coupe and cabrio models. Size-wise the X4 will measure roughly the same as an X3, but ti will get the similar dramatic design like the X6. Hope it doesn’t end up looking like the current X3, or it’ll be awful. It will definitely get the same engine lineup however.

That’s all BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer confirmed to Auto Motor und Sport. To learn more about the X4 we are going to have to wait a few more years. It’s not likely BMW launch the X4 sooner than 2014.
