An AMG top brass confirmed to Motortrend that a Black Series version of the Mercedes SLS is in the pipeline.
Sure the SLS Black Series will be harder and sharper than the standard SLS, but ham-fisted drivers will still be able to enjoy it! And as we have seen with the previous Black Series AMGs, they are not completely stripped-out, hard-core racing cars for the streets. They still get air con, automatic gearbox, and other amenities that make the car bearable.
The official doesn’t reveal more details on the car, because he’s too busy talking about the SLS E-cell, but we can speculate what the SLS Black would be like. It will get a racing body kit, not as busy as the one on the GT3, but still pretty substantial, and hopefully 700+ hp. Handling-wise it should be more tail-happy than a terrier on a wooden floor.
According to MT another hardened version of the SLS is also in the works, described the street-legal version of the SLS AMG GT3 racer.
