Range Rover Planning High Performance Evoque

evoque HP at Range Rover Planning High Performance Evoque

The enormous success of Range Rover Evoque means we are going to see many editions of this magnificent vehicle over the coming years.

There has been rumors flying around about a convertible version, but apparently before that we’re going to get a hotted-up high performance version.

Well, we say high performance, but it’s not like the Evoque is going to get a V8 or anything. Based on Autocar report, the sporty Evoque will be getting a tweaked version of 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with something like 300 bhp. Currently the most powerful engine in the Evoque lineup offers 237 bhp.

The extra 60 or do horsepower is not something that upset Evoque ride and handling, and according to LR officials the chassis can take it very well. They would enhance the car’s responsiveness on and off the road, make it more pleasant to drive.

They are now looking for a new badge for it, because obviously they can’t use the proper Range Rovers pattern and call this car ‘Supercharged’.
