BMW released official pricing for the new generation 3-Series ahead of its launch in the USA in February 2012.
The new 3er launches in America with two models, the four-cylinder 328i with a base price of $35,795, and the six-cylinder 330i starting at $43,295. Both prices include $895 destination and handling.
The 328i features a turbocharged four-banger that generates 240 hp. It has a 0 to 60 time of 57 seconds. The slightly faster 330i which does 0 to 60 in 5.4 seconds has 300 hp, but it’s a bit thirstier.
The 2012 3-Series not only comes with a new design inside and out, which we think is a bit controversial on the outside, it also gets higher level of standard equipment. This includes a 6.5-inch central display with iDrive controller, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/iPod interface, 8-Speed Automatic Transmission, Automatic Start/Stop, Dynamic Driving Control with ECO PRO Mode and Brake Energy Regeneration. Both models also feature larger wheels and tires as standard equipment.
