If the 116,000 euros Mercedes C63 Black is not your cup of tea, this baby AMG may bring you round. It only costs 72,590 euros!

That is the base price of the 2012 Mercedes SLK 55 AMG, powered by the non-turbo version of AMG’s new 5.5 liter V8. Despite the lack of turbochargers, it still makes 422 hp and maximum toque of 540 Newton metres. A lot in a car the size of shoe.

Whats more it has fuel consumption of 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres, for which it has to be thankful to the new cylinder deactivation system and start/stop. In spite of all the eco mentality, this is still a full-on AMG monster. It goes like hell and sounds brutal. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).

The usual AMG features such as the cool boy body kit, big designer wheels, leather and suede interior and sport suspension and brakes are all there. You can also specify the car with some of the most high-tech features usually reserved for the S-Class, such as DISTRONIC PLUS, the Intelligent Light System (ILS), Speed Limit Assist, and PRE-SAFE.
