AMG takes to Facebook to announce debut of the new Mercedes ML63 at 2011 L.A. Autoshow.

The teaser picture they released give a very clear idea on how it look at front, what with the big air intakes, and the spoiler lip. But what we’re more interested in is engine.

The ML63 AMG came with the 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V8. AMG still uses this great engine in some of models. The new ML63 though will get the 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8, found in the latest CL, S and CLS 63.

This engine is capable of making up to 570 hp when fitted with the AMG Performance kit. But for this SUV it will probably work at its normal pace which means it’ll pump out 520 hp and over 700 nm of torque. We have no objections! Especially as it enables the big heavy car to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds.
