A muscle car is probably the last thing that springs to mind when you are thinking of putting together a race car for FIA GT3 championship. But a couple of teams in Europe are investing in a Camaro GT3.
If anything, they will put on a good show because the Camaro looks utterly magnificent in racing outfit. Especially the one below by Belgian team Fast Forward Motorsport is such a looker. The one above is made by Yaco Racing, and it’s destined to race in the German ADAC GT Master series and GT3 European Championship.
With a 580-hp 6.2 liter V8 the GT3 Camaro is no slouch, but a lot of structural work is needed to make it behave itself on the track. Being a muscle car, the Camaro naturally doesn’t like corners very much. On the upside, it will be on of the most affordable GT3 cars.
