At the upcoming Bologna Motor Show AMG and its Italian partner Ducati will show a special edition of the Mercedes SLK 55 AMG inspired by the Streetfighter 848 bike.
Celebrating the brands first anniversary of cooperation and underscoring the importance of their joint operations, this SLK 55 features an exceptional paint finish called the Streetfighter Yellow, complemented by contrasting yellow stitching against the black nappa leather appointments, inside the cabin and on the door centre panels, beltlines, armrests, leather-covered roll-over bars, dashboard, the shift lever gaiter and also the AMG Performance steering wheel.
Even the AMG door sills which are usually blue are yellow illuminated in this car.
This is a special paint finish, but AMG says if there is sufficient demand, the special colour variant could also be made available as an individual optional extra from the AMG Performance Studio.
Mechanically, the Mercedes SLK 55 AMG Streetfighter Yellow is the same as normal models which means you get a normally-aspirated 5.5 liter V8 with 422 hp and 540 Nm of torque which gives an awesome o to 60 acceleration of 4.6 seconds, while averaging 33.6 UK mpg, because of its cylinder shut-off and start/stop systems.
Mercedes has not revealed yet if they are going to offer this car for sale.
