More and more teams are now using Chevy Camaro to race in European GT series. We showed you a couple of GT3-preped Camaros before, and here’s a new one by Sareni and YACO Racing.
YACO has commissioned this car to Sareni, a division of Reiter Engineering, a Lamborghini specialist with an affinity for racing Gallardos. They used their extensive Lamborghini experience to make this racing Camaro.
The prototype is powered by a massive 7.9 liter V8 developing 650 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. The car is setting similar lap times to Reiter’s new Gallardo, but there’s still a lot of work to do, especially as FIA GT3 rules won’t be too happy with the output of this Camaro.
The car is currently being prepared for Germany’s ADAC GT Masters series. Reiter will gladly make more examples of this GT Camaro, if you come up with €195,000.
We would also love to see the Camaros back in the British Touring Car Championship, but that’s not very likely.
