Cadillac ATS at Cadillac ATS European Debut At Geneva Motor Show

Cadillac confirmed European debut of its most European car yet at Europe’s best motor show in Geneva.

Next month at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the all-new Cadillac ATS will be introduced to the Europeans, who for years worshiped BMWs as the benchmark performance sedan.

The ATS comes putting up a fight, claiming that it is just as good – if not better – as the BMW 3 Series. They have been endlessly testing this car at the Nurburgring, so unless they have spent all that time bird watching at Germany’s most formidable race track, the car must have something to say.

Scheduled to go on sale in Europe this autumn, the ATS gives Cadillac entry to the world’s largest-selling premium car segment and is expected to attract new, younger buyers to the brand. The European ATS will be, initially, powered by an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine rated at 201 kW/273 hp. It also gets Cadillac’s new CUE infotainment system as standard.

Can’t wait for a head to head battle between this and the Bimmer.
