Celebrating 60th anniversary of the S-Class Coupe, Mercedes has come up with a “Grand Edition” of the CL-Class.

The ingredients for the CL Grand include designo paint job and interior treatment, and a coupe of AMG touches here an there.

The new “Grand Edition” special edition model can be had in three designo paint finishes of platinum black metallic, mocha black metallic and a matt finish of magno cashmere white. The color is complemented by AMG Sports package, including front and rear aprons, side sills, 20-inch light-alloy wheels in a choice of five-spoke or filigree 10-spoke designs.

The car also gets a couple of Grand Edition badges.

For the interior yo have the choice of three magnificent leather color, including designo aniline leather armagnac, designo aniline leather deep black and the lighter designo aniline leather porcelain. The trims are the same as the normal CL, with optional black ash and high-gloss burr walnut.

The Grand Edition can be had with either of the V8 or the V12 engine. The V8 in the CL500 is good for 320 kW (435 hp), with max torque of 700 newton metres. The CL600’s V12 churns out 380 kW (517 hp).

Needless to say the car is full loaded with every luxury amenity and safety features available for the CL, such as Active Body Control (ABC) with crosswind stabilisation, drowsiness detection system ATTENTION ASSIST, PRE-SAFE automatic emergency braking and the optional Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist systems, to name a few.
