The XKR-S, as you know, is the most hardened, sporty car in Jaguar’s current lineup. This version is only designed to be fast, so it’s equipped with a 550 hp supercharged V8 that propels it from 0 to 60 mph in about 4 and a bit seconds. But these days you get 550 hp from a pencil sharpener. To be really fast, you need more go juice. That’s where the tuners come to play.

The old British tuner Arden just announced their package for the XKR-S. It’s still a work in progress, but as the teaser image they released suggests, the end result will be a helluva car. Traditional Arden styling cues are found all over the big cat, from the mesh grilles up front, to the vented hood, rear apron, and of course, those fantastic Arden design wheels.

The real beauty of this car, however, is to be found under the bonnet. Arden engineers have been fiddling with that supercharged V8, and they say they can squeeze as much as 645 hp out of it. That will make the Jag such a screamer. Can’t wait to see it in the flesh.
