AMG opens its first-ever stand-alone store in Beijing. The Sanlitun AMG Performance Center, located in the prestigious Sanlitun Village North luxury shopping mall, is currently the only showroom in the world dedicated to AMG cars. The facility recently hosted the world premiere of the G63 AMG and is now open for business, offering the whole range of AMG cars plus options and personalization packages.

The 381 square metres showroom is designed in Avant-garde style and is similar to AMG’s Affalterbach’s facility, featuring sample rooms in which the great wealth of paint finishes and leather trim colours can be experienced both visually and haptically with the help of samples specially created for the store.

Since 2008, 195 AMG Performance Centers have been inaugurated in 18 countries all around the world. All of them of course were shop-in-shop showrooms integrated into Mercedes dealerships. Stand-alone shops like this Chinese one make the brand feel more exclusive in the eyes of the customers.

“With this new AMG Performance Center in Beijing we hope to be able to attract and care for current and potential AMG customers. Here in Sanlitun Village North we enjoy a premium location, one where customers and all those interested can experience our brand claim “Driving Performance” intensely. The new store will act as an example for future “stand-alone” Performance Centers which are planned for other metropolis”, says Ola Källenius, chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
