We’ve already covered details and videos of the new 2103 SRT Viper, but now we can bring to you highlights of the car’s unveiling event right from the Javits Convention Center in New York. In this video not only you get to see the car – and its racing version set for competing in ALMS – with more details, you will also get briefed by Ralph Gilles, President & CEO, SRT Brand and Motorsports.
The magnificent new Viper is still powered by an 8.4 liter V10 engine, developing 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and backed by sophisticated suspension and braking system. Also for the first time ever, the Viper comes with traction control.
It’s definitely a car for showing off, the aesthetics and structure screams attractive. I would love it more though if the sheen is the same as the first photo, the darker red seems much more evocative.
