BMW announced official pricing and specs of the new, updated X1 crossover for the British market. The 2013 BMW X1 comes with subtle styling changes, detail improvements to the cabin, as well as an upgraded range of engines and a new 8-speed automatic gearbox combined with BMW’s EfficientDynamics technologies. Prices start from £24,660.
To get into the details of the new X1 more specifically, the car gets extended painted surfaces in areas such as the front bumper – the lower part and the kidney grilles, while the headlights benefit from white LED corona rings and a white LED active eyebrow. You get more painted parts at the back, and new indicators on the wing mirrors.
The new UK-spec X1 gets a range of excellent diesel engines, including sDrive18d, xDrive18d, sDrive20d and xDrive20d, all with TwinPower technology, featuring the latest variable intake geometry turbocharger to produce superb power and torque outputs with outstanding efficiency.
BMW’s intelligent four-wheel drive system xDrive lies at the heart of the new BMW X1, and is complemented by the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system.
