Polish car maker Arrinera becomes closer to launch its new supercar as they sign a strategic partnership with the British supercar maker, Lee Noble. As part of the deal Arrinera is going to buy a 50% stake in Fenix Automotive Ltd from Great Britain, and use Noble name to sell their cars. They hope to produce 600-700 cars a year.

As for the Arrinera supercar itself, it will be equipped with a 650HP engine from Corvette ZR1. The looks appear to be inspired by Lamborghini Gallardo, but with an Eastern Bloc kind of styling. The car is pretty fast, and because of the Noble connection it will be good to drive as well. It also comes with lots of gadgets – including a thermal vision camera – so it’s not that hard to justify its 100.000 GBP price tag.

The Arrinera will sure be able to handle its 650 hp, because the chassis is designed by Noble, and he knows what’s he doing. The chassis will be made from high-strength steel of variable section and considerable torsional strength. Optionally, the body, interior and floor can be made of Carbon/Kevlar fiber composite materials.

Noble is also responsible for the independent, multi-link suspension. The car uses  6-piston callipers and 350 mm brake discs at front, while at the back it comes with 4-piston callipers and 330 mm brake discs. It rides on 19-inch wheels with 255/35 R19 tyres (front) and 335/30 R19 (rear).

As for the performance, with 650 hp and 820 Nm of torque the car’s not going to be a slouch. The numbers Arrinera claims for the car sound very promising:

  • Weight: 1300 kg
  • Weight/power: 2.0 kg/1 hp
  • 0-100 km/h: 3.2 s
  • 0-200 km/h: 8.9 s
  • 0-200-0 km: 14.3 s
  • 200-0 km/h: 133 m
  • 1/4 mile time: 11.0 s
