After Nissan, Citroen too goes to the Facebook for idea on how to make a special edition that people would like. The easiest answer to that question is: ask them. So they did, and this is the result, the Citroen C1 Connexion, the first crowd-sourced car by the French car maker. This design has been chosen from more than 24,000 configurations submitted to Citroen’s FB page.
Citroen created a special app – like a virtual factory floor – and invited people to come and look at different configurations available for the C1, and choose their favorite. The most popular configuration was a 3-door version finished in a stylish Caldera Black body colour with Scarlett Red exterior and interior detailing.
The C1 Connexion Special Edition will be produced later this year based on the C1 1.0i 68 manual in VTR trim, featuring equipments like day-time running LEDs, air conditioning and electric front windows.
Now that they have the design of the car, Citroen is now inviting the public to help design the badge for the model. We can only hope they don’t ask fans to come down to the factory and help with building the bugger.
