‘What the hell’ was probably your first reaction the moment you laid eyes on these pictures – well, that in a stronger language. These are Fox Marketing’s Lexus show cars designed and built for 2009 SEMA. Their glory, however, was short-lived and they have to be destroyed. They have removed whatever they could use somewhere else, like the wheels for instance, but the cars will be crushed.
Now you might be thinking why didn’t they just give these cars away. Well, these are ‘show cars’ and like everything in show business, they have an expiry date. They can’t be used or sold, not at least legally.
It’s a pity, really, such fine cars with all the money and time the tuner spent modifying them have to be destroyed. Regardless of the tuning package – consisting of stuff like body kits, expensive paint jobs, sport suspension, interior modifications, brakes and tweaked engines – Lexus IS sedan and convertible are not cheap cars in the first place.
Well, such is life!
