This time auto artist WildSpeed brings us renderings of the new generation Mercedes S Class, set for launch sometime next year. Based on the most recent spyshots of the S-Class, the shape of the car seem to be spot on. But we’re going to have to wait a bit longer to make sure about some of the details, probably when the prototypes shed more of their camouflage.
One thing’s for sure though. The new S-Class will indeed get a more classical design than the current gen. It is as if Mercedes designers had a picture of a Bentley Mulsanne on their desk and said let’s design something like that. And with the demise of Maybach, the S-Class is now Daimler’s most luxurious saloon, so it needs to be a bit more special.
A four-door saloon is only one of the many variants the new-gen S-Class will spawn. There will be a coupe and a convertible, a long wheelbase version, and a Pullman version.
