Earlier this week Ford announced the SEMA Mustang Build Powered by Women, a joint project between Ford, SEMA and SEMA Businesswomen’s Network, whose goal is to create a Ford Mustang completely designed by women, for women. The Mustang is not exactly a girly car, but it’s intersting to see what females think makes a perfect muscle car. And no, they’re not going to draw flowers on it!
These are the concept proposals they have come up with. One of them will be built for the next SEMA show based on the public’s vote. You need to visit HotRod’s website and vote for your favorite design.
The first design concept is called High Gear, designed by SBN Member, Jennifer Seely. Finished in gray, this car draws inspiration from jewelry, couture clothing and architecture. Highlights include bronze wheels, as well as mirror caps and front grille detailing. Jennifer has also designed the Chromatic Mustang, with anthracite-colored chrome exterior, bright cyan wheels and white leather racing interior. This one’s inspired by the pop culture elements. The last concept is the Fast Metal by Theresa Contreras. This is the one with the two-tone finish and red accents, and features mesh grilles and big wheels. Very manly!
The chosen one will be on display at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
