The new Camaro ZL1 is a bit down power in comparison to its archrival, Shelby GT500. Luckily, Hennessey is around to pick up the slack. They announced the HPE1000 twin-turbo upgrade package for the ZL1’s V8 engine, which makes an insane 1,021 horsepower. As you’d expect, and also as can see after the jump, the list of modifications for such a package is pretty long. Not sure how it affects the car’s usability, but who gives a damn. It’s a 1000-hp Camaro!
If you’re not digging this and need something more mellow, Hennessey also offers 800, 700 and 650 horsepower packages. Any less than that would be embarrassing. Visually, the changes are not that remarkable, but you do get an aero kit which in combination with the sport sspension brings the car lower to the ground, making it more aerodynamic, and a new set of wheels.
