The CDC Performance package for the Maserati Quattroporte is aimed at the fans of extreme makeovers. We never heard anyone complaining about the looks of the Quattroporte – because it’s so damn cool – But it’s aging and some people might want to change it a bit to keep things fresh and interesting. CDC’s thorough tuning package is exactly what they need.

They begin with the looks, giving the car a new front bumper with carbon spoiler lip and new LEDs, blacked-out grille and lights, carbon side skirts, mirror caps, trunk lid spoiler and rear diffuser, as well as smoked taillights and four big, black tailpipes! We are massive fans of the QP’s original design, but we have to say we like what CDC has done here. Not in this brash red of course, but in black it’ll look pretty cool.

The same level of attention to details is applied to the interior as well. Here you have a sea of black leather complemented in red stitching in Piazza style. The stitching covers everything from the seats, to the door panels, the parcel shelf, the roof lining, steering wheel, even top of the dashboard. It can a bit overwhelming over time.

Now for the really good stuff. CDC realized the QP has never been the fastest sport-luxury saloon out there. So they went ahead and tuned its V8 engine to 580 PS and 570 Nm through the use of a twin-compressor system. That means the car now makes 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and goes past 300 km/h without braking a sweat.

To cope, the tuner has also fitted the Maser with high performance braking system consisting of 2-piece drilled and slotted brake discs, 12 pistons up front and 4 on the rear. A set of 22-inch wheels, and an adjustable suspension system wraps up the package.
