Usually the AMG version of any new Mercedes model follows in about a year or so. In the case of the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake though, it seems to be coming sooner. Mercedes AMG released a promotional video that boasts features of the new car, such as the big boot and cool looks, and the car featured in it is clearly the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake. Maybe that’s just a mistake by the PR team, but anyhow, here’s the AMG version of the Shooting Brake CLS.

Judging by the V8biturbo insignia on the car’s wings, the AMG version of the CLS SB is powered by the latest AMG powertrain, which is a 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8, developing 530hp in its normal mode, or 570hp with the AMG Performance Pack. The engine also has an signature soundtrack that sets it apart from the previous 6.3 and the the one before that, the supercharged 5.5. It is a fantastic piece of engineering and gives the car massive speed and excitement.
