One Thousand is quite a remarkable number when we’re talking about a supercar maker like Lamborghini, and a supercar like the Aventador. But today they reached this milestone as the 1000th Lamborghini Aventador rolls off the production line. If the demand for the Aventador stays at this level, very soon it will beat the Murcielago’s record of 4,099 units produced.

The 1000th Aventador is finished in Argos Orange and fitted with silver wheels. It was ordered by a German architect who received the keys to his car in a special ceremony from Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.

Lamborghini Aventador’s order book is full for the next 18 months. Given the current rate of production at the Sant’ Agata Bolognese plant – increased from three vehicles a day in Q3 2011 to 4.5 today – and the fact that the Aventador took  just one year and three months to reach the milestone, the production number is going to grow much, much bigger.

The Aventador has been praised by fans and experts alike for being the craziest – and therefore the best – super car currently available. It has already won 36 international prizes for its design and innovative technological solutions. And it hasn’t even got its Roadster and SV versions yet.
