With the new Aston Martin Vanquish still making headlines we didn’t expect to see another new model from the British sports car maker for at least a couple of months. But we were wrong. They are going to unveil the new V12-powered Vantage Roadster later this week, and here’s the first images of the car that have hit the web a bit early.

As for the specs of the car, well, it’s a V12 Vantage without the roof. Or – if you look at it the other way – it’s an Aston Vantage Roadster with the V12 engine from the DBS. What matters is, it’s loud, it’s fast, it’s beautiful, and it’s an Aston Martin.

Compared to theV8 model, the V12 Vantage gets a slightly revised front-end with blacked-out grille and a splitter, as well as a vented bonnet which we think is ugly. Those vents could have been designed better. It also gets a new rear-end, with a carbon diffuser unit, and also a more pronounced boot lid spoiler. After all, it’s got 510 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, and that’s a lot.

The Roadster also gets more carbon fibre parts, inside and out. You get this trendy material on the side mirrors, side strakes, rear lamp infills, and also on the dashboard and around the gear lever.

Official details and photos are yet to be released, so stay tuned. In the meantime you can check v12vantageroadster.com for more info.
