BMW Welt Visitor at BMW Welts 10 millionth Visitor Gets A Free Car

BMW Welt – the car maker’s a multi-functional customer experience and exhibition facility – awarded its 10 millionth visitor with a special gift. Patrick Zanker received the keys to a BMW Z4 – from Thomas Muderlak, head of the BMW Welt and BMW brand ambassador, His Royal Highness the Prince of Bavaria – for ten weeks. A pretty cool gift for doing basically nothing! He was the symbol of a remarkable record for the BMW Welt though.

What makes this record special is the fact that they’ve achieved it in just under five years. BMW Welt opened for business in October 2007.  The visitors of BMW Welt come from all continents. The largest number of international guests, 13 per cent in total, comes from the U.S.; followed by the U.K., with eight per cent. The majority of visitors, 59 per cent, come from Germany, with 37 per cent from Bavaria. Almost four million people have visited the BMW Welt more than once.

BMW Welt is the place BMW customers and fans come to pickup their new cars, or share their love of the brand with others while touring the exhibition. More than 76,000 vehicles have so far been presented to their customers in this place. BMW says some of the customers have even came here to ask their partners to marry them! They have also held more than 1,250 birthday parties at the facility’s  Junior Campus.

“Ten million enthusiastic BMW fans in just under five years certainly confirms that our varied programme and our building’s fascinating architecture make the BMW Welt a place for extraordinary experiences. Over the coming years, we will continue to do everything in our power to offer a one-of-a-kind brand experience for young and old alike,” sums up Thomas Muderlak.
