Aston Martin V8 Vantage still holds the title for the best stock exhaust noise among all GT cars. The machine gun-like racket that V8 makes is a symphony to ears. The Vantage is powered by a 4.7L V8 that started life with 380 hp, and the reached 420. That power is enough to take the 1.600 kg car from zero to 60mph in about 4.5 seconds and onto a top speed of 180. Aston Martin also makes a V12 version of this car, in both coupe and roadster formats, powered by the 510 hp engine from the DBS. While that one is faster, it doesn’t sound as good as the V8.
