EPA announced official fuel economy ratings for the new 2013 Cadillac ATS, and they’re not bad considering the power output. Caddy’s BMW 3-Series fighter manages 22 city and 33 highway mpg when equipped with the 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine, 21 city and 31 highway mpg when fitted with the 2.0 liter Turbo, and 19 city and 28 highway mpg with the 3.6 liter V6.

As for the power output, the 2.5 liter engine has 205 horsepower, the 2.0 liter Turbo 272 horsepower, and the V6 321 horsepower. So obviously you should get the Turbo because it’s the best comprise between power and efficiency.

The ATS has lots of built-in fuel-saving features such as swept-back styling for minimal air resistance, active aero grille shutters that automatically close when additional engine cooling is not needed, and optimized underbody. On top of all that, they have managed to keep the weight of the car fairly low at 3,315 pounds (1,503kg).
